Pictures taken during celebration of Chinese New Year.Chinese New YearChinese New Year is a festival which we celebrate and it lasts for fifteen days. I will always look forward to Chinese New Year as I would be able to get a lot of red packets and have a lot of delicacies to eat. I will also be able to meet up with all my cousins to have our reunion dinner. Then, when we have nothing to do, we will play some card games to raise the festive mood as well as to celebrate Chinese New Year. My father would play mahjong with my uncles. At the eve of the Chinese New Year, I slept at 3 a.m. as we have the belief that the later the child sleeps at the eve of the Chinese New Year, the longer their parents will live. The next day, my uncles and aunts came to my house and they gave me a lot of red packets, then, we played till 12 a.m.. Now, I will talk about the celebration held in school. I must say that it was excellent! The performance presented to me was simply brilliant. The performers were all very enthusiastic. There are students and teachers who performed on stage. I like the wushu performance most. The wushu team had worked together to perform a lion dance performance and also the skills of wushu on stage. It was commendable to be able to perform like this at their tender age. We also had teachers from our school who are singing on stage. It was really unbelievable. Our strict and serious teachers are actually performing for us on stage! The whole cohort was excited and the Chinese New Year atmosphere was really good. I must say that the performance was a total success. However, the good times are already over. I am back to school now and I look forward to the next Chinese New Year!
